WTF!!!! Get Rid of That Microwave Popcorn and Stainless Steel Cook Wear ASAP

Yet another reason to ask your grandma for one of those cast iron skillets she has in the pantry. A recent study in the journal, Environmental Health Perspectives shows that the chemical perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) may be connected to Thyroid Disease. PFOA can be found in the bags used for microwave popcorn, stain resistant carpets and clothing, certain cleaning products, plus in teflon which is the finishing for non-stick pans.
The study which followed 3966 Americans over 20 years old found that those with the highest level of PFOA in their bloodstream were also twice as likely to have thyroid disease. Thyroid disease can happen to anyone at any age but women especially women over the age of 50 are more susceptible than anyone else. Thyroid disease impacts the lymph nodes in the neck and can cause everything from exhaustation, unexplained weight gain, and even infertility.
Also as an FYI January is National Thyroid Awareness Month. To find out more about your Thyroids, risks and symptoms of thyroid disease visit thyroidawarenessmonth.com
