Breaking News: Cyclone Hits Cook Islands in the Pacific Ocean, 80% of Residents Displaced

Radio New Zealand International is reporting that a cyclone named Pat has hit the small tourist dependent island of Aitutaki part of the Cook Islands in the Pacific Ocean. While the level of damage is still being assessed there are reports of windgusts of over 200 kilometers an hour, tearing the roofs off of several houses and a hospital. News stations in New Zealand are calling this cyclone the worst in over 20 years. Aitutaki and the Cook Islands are located dead in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean in between Australia and Brazil. Fortunately no fatalities have been confirmed as of this posting.
