TUESDAY: Senator Markey and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez to Reintroduce Green New Deal Resolution and New ‘Civilian Climate Corps’ Act, Discuss Other Legislation.
Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) will be joined on Tuesday, April 20 by Congressional colleagues and allies for a press conference on the reintroduction of the Green New Deal and the growing slate of legislation inspired by the resolution originally introduced in 2019. The Green New Deal envisions a ten-year national mobilization to fight the interconnected economic, social, racial, and climate crises gripping our country. Below is a list of current speakers:
